Formed in the mid 80's as an alternative to Bros and Wham.
The band regularly had "Sessions" or "Blasts" at the Coops house, usually involving large quantities of lager, extreme noise and rewiring the house, the "sessions became notorious for being heard at the other side of the dell and occasionally resulted in the neighbours being unable to hear their tellys (hear classic track f**k off you bald c**t from four doors down).
Major developments in the bands style came when some girls in class decided to form a band after getting yamaha keyboards for xmas and foolishly thought that the Gitz would just bend over and be some homo backing band ala miami sound machine. We sent Jezmondo on a reconnaisance mission, he returned with what was to become one of the Gitz favourite tracks, The Girlie Love Song........................................................
