Drift n likwid strikes formed in 2007 and consist of Melborne Mc's Drift from melbournes broadmeadows district and Strike 3 (formerly known as dsier), originally hailing fom Brisbane.With plans to evolve their own brand and style of hip hop "DLS" have a unique sound in which they express their feelings on society, politics, media and the music industry as well as having songs written for the pure enjoyment of performance and Ausralians casual lifestyle.The group feels that music should always entail social commentary and involvement in current issues in the world arena, and therefore base much of their music in this direction.With no love for anything sensationalised or fake "DLS" represent views filtered through an active conscience and intelligent perspective. Both being from low social economic backgrounds they have gained a belief that glamourising hard drugs, crime and the lifstyle that goes with it is one of hip hops greatest flaws to date, and actively work against this through their own music.
