New Jerusalem Projekt is formed by 3 core members and supports a variety of different artists from various genres and parts of the world.The sound of New Jerusalem Projekt is hard to place as they take inspiration from their many travels and pilgrimages. The track "Archangel Michael" for example, is inspired by the cave that the Archangel is said to have claimed in Gargano, Italy - it is also a prayer )in Latin) to the Archangel Michael. "St. Jean in Efes" is inspired by the sound, landscape, air of western Turkey - including the Home of the Virgin Mary, Efesus and the tomb of St. John the Evangelist, beside the Mosque dedicated to the Prophet (in Islam) "Isa" or "Jesus".NJP began performing in the Philippines in 2000 with the "Music against Discrimination Tour" together with Mcs such as Kaliph 8 and alongside other artists to help promote the thriving national underground music scene of the time. During the years 2001-2004 they started recording new material inspired by journeys to biblical and mystical areas such as Turkey, Medjugorje (Bosnia, Herzegovina) among others as well as their main base, Italy where their unique yet versatile sound starts to grow in harmony with the many collaboration projects with local artists of varying genres; electronic artists to Dub Reggae, Hip Hop, indie, chill out etc. During the years 2003-2006 they began mixing electronic music with acoustic, traditional instruments in Geneva as well as busking in Oxford (UK).Currently playing festivals in the UK and looking to play more!! Their debut album "Exorcism for the World" will soon be out courtesy of NJProductions.
