Half Lebanese half Scottish, James was born in London and lived between the US, EU and Asia. He started his music journey at a young age inheriting his father’s huge record collection of 70’s Acid Funk and rare grooves where lot’s of his musical influence today comes from. In 1993, James was offered his first gig at Le MAD in Lausanne, Switzerland, at the time he was known as Dj E-motion. After that, doors opened for him in the Swiss and Italian club seen to 1995, where he moved to New York for a residency at the legendary Save The Robots. Sharing the deck’s with the worlds finest Dj’s, gave him the motivation to expand his personal sound and dj career. From party to party and club to club, he rocked the dance floors from east to west cost and Canada.In 1998 he attended the world famous school, Omega Studios in Washington D.C, where he started to write his own music and learn about the music biz. A year later he met up with Dj Arnaud Le Texier and moved to Paris, France, to start up a record label, Atcha Recordings (deep house and experimental world jazz) a year later they set up a second one, Kailash (tech house and breaks) and in 2006, Safari Electronique (minimal house and ambient groove) was born. With over 58, 4 track, 12†releases and a large list of world known Dj's and composers, James’s record labels have reached a global audience and earned there place in the complex electronique world of digital tech heads.
