ToolsForMySpace.comAlabarda begins in 1999, but has not a stablish line-up until 2002.
Then, the band recorded their first demo, that was listened to by
Akeloo, whom offered the band their first album edition.
Tiempos de Metal was released in December 2003, with a big matter:
the band’s whole equipment was stolen a few days before.
But the band didn’t surrender, and with new equipment,
the band came back to the road, meanwhile, they got ready their
second album songs.
Principios de Realidad was released by Akeloo, in November 2004,
but in March, 2005, in the middle of the tour, Javi (one of the guitar
players) left the band. At this point, Alabarda got a new memeber
into the line-up. Hector got ready to the road in a few days, and
the band started to use pyrotechnic effects during their shows,
being very important their show in Madrid, playing in Sala Caracol.
At the beggining of 2006, Alabarda came back to the studio to
recording their third album. Furia Ignea is released by Akeloo
again, in March, 15th 2006. This album gives the band the oportunity
of playing their largest tour, sharing stage with important Spanish
and international bands, like Blind Guardian, Astral Doors, Obus,
Baron Rojo, Barricada, Los Suaves, Saratoga, Warcry, or La Fuga,
being in important festivals like Yeste Rock or Interpeñas Metal.
2007 is prepared as a great year for the band. Their three albums are
gonna be released in Mexico, in a luxury format, with a bonus-track,
that will be released in Spain as a limited edition EP. Meanwhile,
the band will present a new show with a renew set-list, with old
tracks and some covers, and will get ready the songs for their new
album. Also, the band is planning touring outside Spain and
Europe, and trying to release their albums in many countries, thanks to
the succes in some countries of their albums importation.
