MySpace CodesEric Cruz has been writing since the age of 13. Due to the inspiration he felt from Edgar Allen Poe’s stories and poems, he started writing poetry. Later, Eric took his poems and converted them to lyrics after listening to his first freestyle track, which was “Let the Music Play” by Shannon. It was then he knew that he wanted to do music. Eric joined choirs and school choruses to obtain the knowledge needed in music. After hearing “Gonna Make It” by Safire, Eric’s passion for music became his first priority in his life and he began studying Program Engineering at the Institute of Audio Research. In 2003 Eric recorded his first demo “Si Tu Supieras” which was produced by Jose “Chino” Moreno. Eric has had a broad range of influences from legendary artists & Producers such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Frankie Ruiz, Hector LaVoe, Larry Harlow, Eddie Santiago, Victor Manuel, Ruben Blades, Johnny Pachecho, Willie Colon, Quincy Jones, Scott Storch, Russell Simmons, Dr.Dre, Emilio Estefan, Frankie Negron, Sergio Jorge, Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, and also Freestyle artists & Producers such as Judy Torres, Mickey Garcia, Sandee of Expose, Michael "Kid" Gomez, Jayquan of The Nas-T Boyz, "Dr. Edit” Tony Garcia, Carlos "Afterdark" Berrios, The Nas-T Boyz, Elvin Molina, Jellybean, Willie Valentin, Artie Rodriguez, Legit, Lisette Melendez, Johnny O, Cynthia, Tomax, Safire, TKA, George LaMond, etcIn addition to his talents as an artist & songwriter, Eric Cruz also works as a producer,co-producer & editor for artists such as Yasay, The Nas-T Boyz, Hanson of Hanson & Davis, Carmine Dipasquale, Jayquan, Pompeo Messano, NU Image and many others. Eric has done auditions, special appearances & performances since the early 90’s. He has auditioned for American Idol, Z100's RadioStar & Frankie Negron and performed in many places in the Northeast Region at many talent shows.Eric Cruz is currently working on his upcoming album. His first single, “All My Love” made it to internet radio during the first week it was released and it climbed up to the number 1 spot on internet radio. But do to complications with the producer of the song, the song was pulled off the air. So since then Eric has been producing his album by himself. He opened up his own label called Latin Style Productions and has been working with many new talented artists. Eric’s upcoming album and his future projects is definitely something you don’t want to miss. Eric is now under JC Entertainment producing, singing & writing. He is just letting his creative juices flow.
