Welcome to my MySpace page. My name is Jim Dillman and I live in Indianapolis,IN. I grew up in Royal Center, IN, a small town of about 900 people in Cass County in north-central Indiana. I can't imagine a better place to have grown up. I live in a metropolitan area now, but I'm still a smalltown guy at heart. I'm employed by the Marion County Sheriff's Department as a 911 dispatcher. We handle all the communications for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. I'm single, have never been married, and am somewhat disgustingly unattached at the moment. God only knows how I'd find time for a woman right now, but if the right one comes along, I'll give it the old college try.
There are a lot of lists, links, and pictures on this page. These are the things I am interested in and care about. The one thing you don't see on here is family. That's because I've never been much of a picture-taker, but trust me when I say that I have a wonderful family that I'm fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with. I keep threatening to move into the 21st Century and buy a digital camera. When I finally get around to it, I'll post some family photos.
I became a Freemason in 2000 when I was elected to membership of Royal Center Lodge #575, Free and Accepted Masons. Since I made the move to Indianapolis, I've joined two other lodges and a handful of appendant bodies. Virtually all of my free time is devoted to Freemasonry these days and I wear a lot of different hats in the various groups that I belong to. I was honored to be elected as President of the Indianapolis Masonic Temple Association last December. The IMTA is responsible for conducting the day to day business and maintenance of Indiana Freemasons' Hall in downtown Indianapolis, the home of the Grand Lodge of Indiana and numerous lodges and other Masonic groups. Follow the link below to learn more about that.
My life changed significantly when I became a Freemason. I believe very strongly in our Masonic principles and I've been fortunate to establish a lot of wonderful friendships that will last me for the rest of my life. Freemasonry has a long and rich history going back to the foundation of the United States and even farther back in Europe. Once again, follow the links below to learn more about our fraternity.
My blog is up and running and I'll update it when I have something to say and the time to say it. Just click on the link above. Thanks for visiting my page.
Jim
