ATTENTION! THIS IS NOT YOUR AVEREAGE BIO. THIS IS JUST THE FLAT OUT, SUMMED UP TRUTH ABOUT THIS ARTIST AND HER EXPERIENCES AND BELIEFS.Nahla: " I have been singing and dancing since I can remember. I started out doing plays and talent shows in school. Also during family get togethers entertaining by karaoke, singing the songs of artists who inspired me at the time. I wrote my first song in the 5th grade for a social studies assignment and from then started writing R&B lyrics to to different tracks ever since. Ive performed in churches, festivals, showcases, even singing in weddings and funerals. Ive done several hooks for many different independant artists since the age of 14. My first time in an actual studio was a dream. I was in my element. It didnt matter if it was a garage studio to the big decked out studios in Hollywood and every one in between, Ive been to all kinds and the feeling was the same as long as I was doing what I loved.Music has always been a passion of mine and has saved me from my own self destruction. You see, by putting the pen to the paper, writing to a beat I was able express myself, my emotions like a diary. Then I would record it and hope that whoever were to hear it would somehow relate and be able to appreciate it for what it was, just plain music, somewhat theraputic. Of course the demo process and networking, getting it out to the "Right people" was another goal but wasnt quite what I thought it would be. Being that young and nieve I was simple minded. What I thought about the music biz whas a lot harder, cut throat, trifflin' , and took me for a crazy ride. I met alot of people who tried to use their status to get what they want often promising me things, claiming they believed in me and just used me in many ways. But Im greatful for the experience because I learned so much. I love myself much more than to succomb to the things I did in the past just because I wanted to " MAke it " so bad. But what is makin it anyway. The definition seems endless depending on who you ask. Bottomline is, I love music, one of the only things in life that made me smile at one point. As long as I have this gift, a voice, I will be heard. I sing because I love it, it makes me happy, its what I know, its what I am so passionate about.
