About Me

Singer Songwriter Scott Parsons is a versatile and multi dimensional talent whose musicianship and performance capabilities have taken him to many countries around the world. His perseverance as an independent artist is a testament to the Maritime Spirit. Parsons is a gifted songwriter, a solid musician and an emotionally expressive vocalist with a powerful set of pipes that can take a song anywhere he wants that song to go.

Band Members: Scott Parsons is a singer/songwriter whose uniquely resonant music and voice transcend many styles, including blues, reggae, folk, country and rock. Scott is currently based on Prince Edward Island, Canada. He's spent a lot of time elsewhere, though. His music has captured the hearts of audiences across Canada and in the UK as well as Switzerland, Mexico and the USA. Scott has won African-Canadian Recording of the year at the East Coast Music Awards in Halifax, and two PEI Music Awards in a row, for Blues Artist/Group of the year.Jupiter Wise is Scott's band. A lot of people have been in it over the years and miles, and it's hard to keep track of the line-up sometimes. (Scott has been in the band all the way through, though, so far as I know! [-ed.])His faithful bass-player of the last couple of years, Jason Furness, insists that Scott should call the band, "Me and Jason, and the Band". Scott is thinking of introducing them as, "Me, and Jason and the Band." Just to kind of get to him, like. (What a difference a comma makes!)No matter who's in the band, it's always a good band, and there's no point dropping names, because there are too many to list. Everybody knows who they are, and everybody's been much appreciated by all the folks who've listened. And all the folks who've listened know who they are, too!

"Scott Parsons sang Delta blues in a crisply focused, brassy middle register whose timbre was trumpet-like, but with a finish to most lines in the lower part of his voice, a rich bass-baritone sound f...
