Ted's Warren Commission

About Me

Teds Warren Commission was formed in 1993 as an outlet for Ted Warrens compositions. Since then, the band has become very popular and performs frequently in the Toronto area. In 2004, they released their debut cd, First Time Caller. The recording garnered many favorable reviews including Coda magazines top ten recordings of the year. They are played frequently on national radio and have just recorded a follow up recording to be released in the fall.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: Right here!
Band Members: Mike Malone- Trumpet Ted Quinlan- Guitar Mike Downes- Bass Ted Warren- Drums
Influences: Gilbert and Sullivan, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Ed Sullivan....No, just foolin' around! I dunno, the thick soup that makes up most musician's music collections and takes up most of their grey matter. How about Miles Davis, the Beatles, Thelonious Monk, XTC, Los Van Van, Bartok, maybe? That's music I like. I don't know if it shows up in my music , however. Let's make it clear now IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE JAZZ, IT JUST HAS TO BE GOOD!!!! (Forgive my shouting.)
Sounds Like: Somebody mentioned our music was the sonic equivalent of eating cookies. I don't know if we can live up to that. Cookies are pretty good, ya know!
