I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a writer, DJ, bartender and mixed musician. As for writing, well...I enjoy writing all types of shit, but mostly short stories, and for some reason I cant help but to spit out about two poems a day, even though poetry in true essence can be mentally agonizing. I cant help writing if I see paper or an empty microsoft word document in front of me. I see a blank sheet, I see opportunity. If it has words, Im involved. When I am not writing, I spin deep luscious house music, with a funky twist of riding bass lines, and captivating lyrics. And when Im not spinning, Im usually fucking around with a guitar. I graduated from the Texas School of Bartenders and and as they put it on the certificate, with such sweet irony, I am a "Qualified Mixologist". I would consider myself to be a spiritual person in essence, and only seek peace in this world. My daughter is the driving force in my life, and my pupose for living

My Interests

House music, writing, being and staying real, sunrises, sunsets, beautiful faces, truth, honesty, decication, passion, mountains, hills, traveling to distant lands, singing, playing guitar, steady house beats, funk, soul, sex appeal, watching women dance, flows and flavors, a cigarette to kill time, beer, whosgow, long talks, long walks, biking, skating, cooking, bartending, inventing new drinks, Cucumber Martinis, spinning records, drinking brews and hanging with my buds. The trick to happiness is to except things for what they truly are, and to always remain what God intended you to become...real! People will notice this in your path and eventually become interested in the direction you choose in life. God bless peace on this earth. JAH BLESS. Spread the love not the hatred

I'd like to meet:

Everybody, especially more house heads MySpace Backgrounds

Music:

I AM MUSIC! My music is a tribute to everything I have experienced in life, every emotion, every moment. I play a few instruments, or least try to (i.e. guitar, bass, djembe, keys), and have been DJing for approximately 10 years. My life is one big deication to the existence of sound. Its kinda hard to find shit I dont appreciate on some level.Bob Marley, Sublime, and classic PJ are some of my biggest influences when it comes to jamming on the guitar. But I mean, there is so much shit out there that I hear that I incorporate into my creativity and character like Hip Hop- Outkast Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley, Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest, Common (sense), The Roots, Swollen Members, Mr. Choc, Sypha Sounds, Blackalicious, People Under the Stairs, Collosus, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Mf Doom, Nas,Jedi Mind Trick, Strange Fruit Project, Invisible Scratch Pickles, Q-Bert, Craze, Tupac, Biggie...lets see does that take care of hip hop? There is more hip hop that I cant remember right now, but you know how it is, hip hop like all music is infinite. House Music (the shit I mix)is very influential in my life- Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Chuck Love, Jay J, Hippie & Halo, Deep Dish, Roy Davis Jr., Ian Pooley, Ben Watt, Marques Wyatt, Rasoul, Rithma, Joey Youngman, Jake Childs, Demarkus Lewis, Trentmoller, Groove Junkies, Mark Farina, Collette, Doc Martin, Inland Knights, Eric Davenport & Smitty, Johnny Fiasco, Atjazz, Jazzanova, Groove Junkies, Blue 6, Rick Preston, Onda, Speakeasy, Recloose, Sean Dimitrie, Steve Loria and all the other elements of House Music that I am leaving out. When I just wanna chill out and let music fuck with my mind im usually digging Theivery Corporation, Aphex Twin, Squarequsher, Plaid, drum n bass artists like LTJ Bukem and all that other intelligent shit out there. I listen to some rock like Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Pixies, Modest Mouse stuff like that. It is impossible to name all the music I listen to. I love 80's shit like The Cure, Sex Pistols, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Ramones, fuck...do I really have to do this? You all know the rest of the list. I am very open minded when it comes to music. If it has a beat, im listening, at least until I become bored. The bottom line is that I need music to function correctly

Thompson", "Electric Kool-aid Acid Test" by Thomas Wolfe, Thompson and Jerry Garcia's "On the Bus", All short stories by Charloette Perkin Gilman, Virginia Wolf, Shirley Jackson. Jack London, Henry David Thoroeau and Ernest Hemmingway. And last but not least the one and only Jack Kerouac, who wrote the infamous novel "On The Road". Will Burroughs' classic "Junky", the famous poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg, and pretty much everything else written by Kerouac and the lost entities of the beat generation. God bless their unique souls. The faces that changed America's literature forever.

Heroes:

Neal Cassady and Jack Kerouac, for their adventerous souls that inspired me to travel to Chiaps, Mexico. Bob Marley for creating One Love on Earth. Che Guevarra for fighting for his people. The angels of Mexico Los Zapatistas. Chuck Love and any other house entity that is making a difference in sound and performance, its amazing what one MAN can do. My mother for having four crazy ass fucking kids. And anybody else who has the courage to be who they want to be.

Our hearts were pumping in unison with the throb of the bass pouring out the doors of the wharehouse. The anticipation was almost nauseating. We knew what dwelled within the fog in the dance part...
