About Me

T he Vampire Lestat first came into existence when frontman Lestat De Lioncourt, first heard Alex, Larry, James and T.C, band members of "Satan’s Night Out" playing in their hometown of New Orleans in the late 1980’s. The unorthodox singer claims to be a true to life Vampire from 18th century France, and that upon hearing the bands raw, original sound motivated him to rise from a century long slumber and re-invent himself as a rock star on the contemporary music scene. In the following years, the band released their first record, and soon seduced legions of loyal, rabid fans amongst the disaffected youth of the metal and goth/rock underground. The self-titled album debut shot straight to Number 1 on the Billboard and SoundScan music charts, with the sensual singles "Forsaken" and "Redeemer" each debuting at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rolling Stone and Spin clamored to place the band on their covers, and MTV News proclaimed The Vampire Lestat "Rock’s Deadliest Band".
