Valentine's Day Feb 14
Valentine's Day falls on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, often anonymously. The holiday is named after two men, both Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.
Chines New year(February 18)
Chinese New Year (Simplified Chinese: ??, or ????; Traditional Chinese: ??, or ????; pinyin: chunjié, or nónglì xinnián), or the Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It consists of a period of celebrations, starting on New Year's Day, celebrated on the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar. This is the day of the second new moon after the winter solstice, unless there is an intercalary eleventh or twelfth month in the lead-up to the New Year. In such a case, the New Year falls on the day of the third new moon after the solstice. (The next time this occurs is in 2033.) The Chinese New Year period ends with the Lantern Festival, on the fifteenth day of the festival.
Presidents 'Day * 3rd Mon in Feb
Presidents Day is the common name for the United States federal holiday officially designated as Washington's Birthday. It is celebrated on the third Monday of February. The name of the holiday is correctly spelled Presidents Day, not President's Day. (It doesn't belong to a president, but honors presidents.)
Khmer New year 13th day of April
Cambodian New Year or Chaul Chnam Thmey in the Khmer language, is the name of the Cambodian holiday that celebrates the new lunar year. The holiday lasts for three days, from April 13th to 15th, although Khmer living in other countries may change the dates so as to celebrate on the weekend. Sometimes the holiday varys falls from the 14th to 16th. This time of year represents the end of the harvesting season. The farmers enjoy the fruits of their harvest and relax before the raining season begins.
