LDNL BIO
• Formed just five years ago by bass player Van Easterday & drummer Matt Reedy, Lt. Dan's New Legs (LDNL) has accomplished many things in their few years in the spotllight. LDNL was created with the intention of covering material not attempted or successfully interpreted by any other live band. It was their aim to tackle heavily produced music that otherwise was meant for studio and airplay only. No tracks, CDs, or sequences are used in their live performances. All sounds and elements of the songs performed are created live. Upon coming up with the band name Lt Dan's New Legs (which is rumored to be either from a member having a fling w/ Tom Hanks or from the original vocalist having a small obsession w/ Forest Gump), the members knew they wanted to not only play upbeat energy music to make people feel good, but also to shine light on the positive side of hip-hop music. What sets them apart in addition to their positive stage performances is their amazing ability to give back to society in the midst of their busy schedule. They opened a project called New Legs to the Community in which they do a lot of charity work whether it be playing music for kids with cancer or for the U.S. troops overseas. Lt. Dan’s New Legs has traveled around the world to places including: Okinawa, Guam, Kwajalein, Roi, the Micronesian Islands, Pacific Asia and many major U.S. cities like Jacksonville FL, NYC New York, Chicago IL, Detroit MI, Houston TX, Evansville IN, Cleveland OH, Newport KY, Indianapolis IN, Carbondale IL, Charleston WV, Fort Wayne IN and Honolulu HI to name a few. LDNL has traveled/toured/performed with numerous national acts including: Good Charlotte, Bow Wow, Mat Kearney, Plain White T’s, Naughty by Nature, Bizzy Bone/Bone Thugs N’ Harmony, Dot Dot Dot, Saving Jane, Love Sick Radio, 17th Floor and many others. LDNL has performed for stars such as Jessica and Ashley Simpson, Brady Quinn, AJ Hawk, Jim Furyk, Bobby Carpenter and Tony Romo to name a few. They have also performed for members of the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Cavaliers and the PGA team. They also have been selected as the house band for the highly publicized Ohio State Buckeyes Football pregame River Watch show, where every Autumn they play in front of tens of thousands of college football fans. LDNL has appeared multiple times on Fox Network Television performing live for an audience of over one million viewers, and has also performed live inside and outside of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on network television. Lt. Dan's New Legs has appeared on, or performed with many live radio stations across the world such as: Artist First Radio, Clear Channel networks, Sirius Satellite Radio, in addition to heavy rotation within the U.S. Armed Forces Airwaves in Japan. LDNL has performed for the U.S. troops across the world for the AFE/USO tour. This tour was such a success for the group that they have already been invited back for 2009. LDNL is heavily influenced by various genres of music. The members' degrees range from jazz studies to business management. Each of them take a strong interest in blues, funk, r&b and hip-hop. This is what makes LDNL a flavorful group and what contributes to their brilliant songwriting. While their creativity soars, LDNL possesses a live show that has gained MidWest recognition. They play many of the crowd's favorite cover songs from old school classics to new school ryhmes. They also throw in their own material in which the MidWest can be seen chanting alongside.•Record Label: NewLegs Production Produced: New Legs Productions Written By: James (aka Hollis Jae) Hollis, Shareena Rhodes Published by: NewLegs Publishing(ASCAP, BMI) Universal Product Code (UPC): 837101371759 (Registered through SOUNDSCAN) Encoded in Nielsen BDS Virtual Encode SystemLDNL's Online Store All Tees Available In Black and White

Giving New Legs To The Community ProjectVan Easterday and Shareena Rhodes brainstormed a way to shine light on the everyday issues that society faces from poverty and sickness, to an overall lack of opportunity. They came up with a project called "New Legs to the Community" in which LDNL gives back to the city where it is needed most. The members of LDNL feel they have been fortunate enough to travel the world, so in addition to their performances, they support some very important causes. The members have participated in many charity events such as: perfoming for terminally ill children, donating groceries and spending time with men and women transitioning back into society, performing shows for those who are incarcerated at maximum security prisons, donating food to churches and VOA organizations, and raising money for cancer patients.
