I am here for Friends

About Me

Of late I have been skating and drinking. That is about all. The odd rugby training and spot of vineyard work thrown in also. I am 18, Male and living in Tasmania. I live with my parentals and little sister, my older brother is just moving out but I still dont get his room .I like PC games, well, PC game, Red Orchestra, I don't play much else unless I get sucked into DoTA by Andy, Brent, Rhys or Sam.I collect knives and mele weapons. I have just started collecting military surplus rifles. As far as school goes I am in year twleve, my finaly year of formal education, as I do not really plan on university. Pyrotechnics are a great interest of mine, and I will most likely persure a career in that, after some travelling of course. As previously mentioned skating has been taking a lot of my time recently. I am still not all that great at it, but it's a bit of fun to "Smash the Bowl" with Sam, Padanke Dough and Tween. That's enough about me methinks, if you want to know anymore drop me a line.

My Interests

Mainly I am interested in Chemistry and Pyrotechnics. I dabble in physics but am not particularly good at it. I skate a little bit. I am not particularly good but I find it relaxing and it gives me time to think and talk with mates.I enjoy writing, as you may have surmised. I can rave, rant, ramble and use alliteration about things that I am passionate about, but when asked to write about something that has been perscribed to me that is a different story.I am also interested in craft. Not making wallets or macaroni pictures or anything of that nature, but genereally working with my hands to make something useful, rather than artistic.Shooting is another interest of mine. I enjoy target shooting but have now just been hunting for the first time and I must say it is alot more enjoyable than punching holes in paper.

I'd like to meet:

Who would I like to meet, well let's see:As a general rule I like to talk to people who will not try to maintain a conversation with fill in words such as "hmmm" "soo..." or an excessive ammount of "lol".I would particularly be interested in conversing with males and females sharing similar interest in music.Anyone who likes chemistry and pyrotechnics is also a plus.On the whole though I can talk to (or at least at) anyone, so feel free to add me for a chat about anything.

Music:

Musical taste; something that is increasingly important to how we define ourselves these days.Personally I listen to Metal. All genres of metal appeal to me on some level, but mainly I listen to progressive death and black metal. For example my two favorite bands are Opeth and Borknagar.Other genres of metal such as grind, thrash and power metal do appeal to me, sometimes more than others, it really does depend on how I am feeling. For example at work I like to listen to the mutilated gutteral lyrics of Disgorge and Decapitated, on headphones of course as I don't imagine the clientell would appreciate the skill invlolved quite as much as I do.When I am in a relaxed mood I enjoy a bit of opera, Les Miserable is always good.Thats enough for music I think.

Movies:

Some of my favorite movies (in no particular order) are:Team America: World Police, Swordfish, Fight Club and The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy. That's about all for movies, I really prefer longer TV series, which leads me neatly to Television.

Television:

While I do not see myself as one who watches alot of television, I have been known to watch (either on TV or DVD box set):Lost, Oz, Band Of Brothers, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, American Dad and DilbertAs you can see I enjoy my animated comedy, but also my action/drama series.

Books:

My favorite book of all time has to be The SAS Survival Handbook, by John Wiseman.Generally I read text books and non fiction books, but I do enjoy books about war and nuclear fallout scenarios, such as Brother in the Land, and Z for Zachariah.

Heroes:

My grandpa, he is truly awsome, 70 years old and still a handyman extrodinare. He is really helpful and knowledgable, and it's always fun listening to him talk to his mother in German.

My Blog

Got myself a new toy :D

The bayonet I ordered from ebay came today :) It is a spanish one, made in 1955, brand new (un issued). It will make a good pig sticker. Now all I need is a rifle to fit it :P.

The end of a time; A time to begin

My two and a bit year relationship with my girlfriend has ended. She does not feel the same about me as she used to. People change. We have grown apart since we were 15ish.
