About Me

This makes me laugh
Jack & BeBe
..
There is pleasure in the pathless woods;
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar;
I love not man the less, but Nature more...
~Lord Byron
Why does insanity always twist the great answers? Because only tormented persons want truth. Man is an animal like other animals, wants food and success and women, not truth. Only if the mind Tortured by some interior tension has despaired of happiness: then it hates its life-cage and seeks further, And finds, if it is powerful enough. But instantly the private agony that made the search Muddles the finding. Then search for truth is foredoomed and frustrate? Only stained fragments? Until the mind has turned its love from itself and man, from parts to the whole.”
~ Robinson Jeffers
I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.
~ Vincent VanGogh
Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
~ Kahlil Gibran

I love the lure of cemetaries. The breeze rushing through the trees, the moss-covered stones etched with faded names whisper haunting words to me;
Frenzied exhileration drains me yet peaceful thoughts take over; sliding me into tranquil dreams.
Oh to find such eternal rest for my tortured soul. I long to lie within the angel's shadow and watch a full moon cross the sky.
Listening to the sounds of the night. Every crunch of leaves, the snap of a twig makes my heart race and reminds me that I - am alive.

ART ~ What can I say... its a part of me. Went to school for art; loved every minute of it. I can see myself being a professional student til the day I die.
A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life.
~ Henry Ward Beecher

BOOKS ~ I am a total bookworm but for some reason have not unpacked my books since I moved over 3 years ago. I love the smell of books. I love the feel of books. I love the feeling that I'm floating when I'm reading a book. I lose senses of my surroundings and am wholly sucked into the story; its like watching a movie and I can't look away. I cannot stand to set a book down because I think it is going to go on without me.
COOKING ~ I love to cook! I love to eat what I cook! I collect cookbooks... and dust.
PHOTOGRAPHY ~ I don't claim to be great at it, but I love to play with photos. Have too many ideas and not enough time.
TRAVEL ~ I always wanted to grow up and be Indiana Jones... nooo, Laura Croft - lol - still looking for a way to get paid and be that.
WRITING ~ Exhilerating and exhausting, cleansing, therapeutic. Addicting.
MOVIES ~ I watch the movies I love over and over and over... again :o) Why rent when you just have to return them?

You know that when I hate you, it is because I love you to a point of passion that unhinges my soul.
~ Julie de Lespinasse

First ask yourself: What is the worst that can happen? Then prepare to accept it. Then proceed to improve on the worst.
~ Dale Carnegie

Clouds of insects danced and buzzed in the golden autumn light, and the air was full of the piping of the song-birds. Long, glinting dragonflies shot across the path, or hung tremulous with gauzy wings and gleaming bodies.
~ Arthur Conan Doyle, Sr.

For what is it to die, But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind?
~ Kahlil Gibran
