Time is changing me...an artist since childhood, I currently battle between being blessed in making income with my airbrush talent, and having strong desire to paint with oil for the sole purpose of self gratification and not monetary reasons. For the past 20 years there is one word that describes me most...: WORKAHOLIC!I LOVE TO BE INSPIRED AND SURROUNDED BY POSITIVE, GOOD HEARTED PEOPLE.....only allowing positive energy in my life- Refocused, rethinking! Below is a picture of me painting with an airbrush on illustration board.I have high expectations and a great belief in myself, and am optimistic with my ability to overcome whatever. I love to laugh with the few friends I keep dear and near to me. An introvert, I tend to look at ones inner beauty with magnification before I let someone close to me. Call it a fault, call it caution... I like to surround myself with big hearts not big heads. I know how to laugh at myself, which makes me secure of myself, and not take things so serious, but the lighthearted jokester in me comes out only with longevity, heart felt instinct, and trust. Drawing, painting, and opportunity is my life. I am a workaholic...constantly thinking how to to make money doing what comes natural to me, becoming a trait I slowly find myself wanting to change. Paint for quality and no longer for quantity is a thought seriously filling my head. Most of what I consider work (painting, creating, and drawing to make a living), is fun and not work. That wont change, but simple art becomes redundant, boring, expected....did I mention boring. Because self gratification is more important now than frivolously satisfying a customer I find change is coming.My history: I have been drawing since childhood. What started as a hobby and simply wanting to be "cute" in the club scene by painting on my own clothes.. turned into a lucrative business in airbrushing. I opened my first retail store called "In the Mix" in 1991 that catered to airbrush art, and sold mainly music for local dj's. Living in San Antonio in the late 80's, there was a small hip hop community, which allowed me to make major impact on the hip hop scene here. Reopened under a new name "Very Unique" in 1992 in a major shopping mall, opened a second location across town in 1997.Since then, I have become a mother, graduated from UTSA with a bachelors degree in Art, added a graphic business and I am on a mission to pursue a career in oil painting. Personality wise... I AM A REALIST! I like people that are blunt! "Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don't say it mean!" I believe being happy in life is above all the most important aspect in why a person should "live" and the decisions people have to make. Utilizing my GOD given talent, and having confidence in myself, allows me to be free and happy. I love art that touches the soul. I indulge myself with personal goals, always feeling "so much to accomplish, so little time", but I am faithful and know how to make time for real friends. I AM ON A MISSION..always!.. ....
