I'm Robert Ikeoka and I'm working towards my BS degree in Business with a concentration in Management and Information Systems. My primary expertise in the IT industry is in Information Assurance and Information Security. I have had experience in systems administration, penetration testing (legal hacking), and development. I'm currently working in the Information Security department of a large corporation employing over 6000 employees and contractors world wide. I'm tasked with policy compliance of the those individuals including policy updates, training, and investigations.
I will be starting a blog in June that will teach individuals about the importance and ways to protect themselves on the Internet from a vendor neutral perspective. Most blogs on the internet around this subject is targeted to sell a specific service or product, however many of those products are not needed if we are aware of what we are doing. I'm also creating an IT and company based blog for professionals in the industry to become aware of how to protect their customer's information.
