AVOCADO is a wonderful story about a musician named Alaric, who lives in a black and white village called Sigurney. It is a race of noles. In Alaric’s world there are poets, artists, writers, anything creative, but with no colour. Sigurney itself is of a cederwood grey. As fate goes, Alaric is challenged to climb a mountain Called Mt. Rashin. He accepts this challenge, but finds himself falling over the other side and cannot get back. Through this adventurous journey, Alaric encounters another race of people who are completely binary. Carpathia is a town of doctors, lawyers, scientists and Indian chiefs. This world is foreign to Alaric, where creativity has no place in their culture. It is all based on mathematics. A structured world of 1 and 0. The interesting part is the inhabitants of Carpathia are all full of colour. So colourless Alaric takes on the task to teach these people what music is about. As he meets strange and interesting characters one in particular, a woman named Sherrifall offers him an avocado. Since Alaric has never seen colour before he instantly falls in love with green, avocados as well as Sherrifall. He started his musical journey at the age of 3. At the age of 17 Douglas wrote his first Opera entitled "Faust's Journey". In 1995 Douglas helped raise money for the war torn children in Sarajevo, As well Douglas received an award for his musical contribution for “Kids Can” free the children in 2004.
