Some people are such followers-almost 10 years and no one's changed

About Me

I'm a 3rd grade teacher in my second year of teaching and into my 3rd year of marriage. I have a wonderful husband and a puppy named Sadie. We are enjoying married life but looking forward to a better year than 2007. (Between layoffs, deaths, etc. we could use a change)One constant thing has been the overwhelming support of our church Momentum. The people are the most caring and authentic individuals God has ever blessed me with. We would not have survived this year mentally or physically without their help.

My Interests

Friends and Family, being involved with my husband's music, teaching, movies

I'd like to meet:

Grandad Johnson (I wish I could have met the man whom my husband adored so much) Johnny Depp (who has an uncanny ability to choose interesting characters--except maybe Sweeney Todd)

Music:

Any song that my husband writes :), Hillsong, Jack Johnson, NickelCreek, Tonic, Jimmy Buffett, Death Cab for Cutie, Alison Krauss, Stone Temple Pilots, John Mayer, Jump (little children),Guster, Amos Lee, or whatever new musician my husband decides to introduce me to next. We like everything from mellow jazz to country to alternative rock.

Movies:

Lucky Number Slevin, Grindhouse-Planet Terror only,Sin City, Crash, ,Wedding Crashers, Cinderella Man, It's a Wonderful Life, Big Fish, Snatch, Life is Beautiful. I will watch almost any movie at least once!! I like a lot of independent films and documentaries. I also LOVE the scary movies with a lot of gore (30 days of night was one of the best in awhile).

Television:

Al about Court/TRU TV: Forensice Files, ColdCase, The Investigators. "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" , Of course I'm hopelessly addicted to old Dawson's Creek reruns. Still a little into UFC, except all of my guys kind of ended their careers with stupid fights. I was recently smitten with Supernatural, only to have the "perfect timing" writer's strike effect the 3rd season.

Books:

I love to read and am always looking for interesting and different types of genre. Most of what I read these days is related to early childhood development. Extremely fascinating reads trust me. :) I also love the sad and sappy stories like Marley and Me. I just finished a book "Look me in the Eye" about a man growing with aspbergers autism. It was an interesting insight into the mind of that author.

Heroes:

My father. The greatest role model and influence in my upbringing and life. Most recently, my husband. He continues to surprise me on a daily basis- in all of the ways that he is a wonderful guy. It's a blessing to get to watch his walk with God get deeper as days go by.
