Los Piratas

About Me

Ahoy me hearties!!

Nautical nitwits! Before welcoming yae aboard, let us tell yae a couple of things yae ought to know about our bandit ways ... In real piratic style, none of the tunes yae’ll be listening to on our ship can be claimed as ours truly. We make do with bits borrowed here and pieces stolen there ... taking the raw material from inspiring sources and stitching it together roughly.
Yet, it is the pirates’ code of honour to pay their fair dues to those who accompany us across the seven seas, making sure that wind keeps thrusting our sails and rum never dries ...
Big aioli, praises and thanks to those we’ve stolen from ...
We’ve stolen from - Avem pilhat - Robarámos - Nou la volé ...
The lyrics of Malurós qu’a un trabalh from Moussu T e lei Jovents ( myspace - web )
The lyrics of India are mostly a pick’n’mix from bits of texts taken from Massilia Sound System ( myspace - web )
The lyrics of Kréol Vallenata are loosely inspired by the texts of Danyèl Waro ( web )
The music of these 3 songs is lifted from a tape of unidentified Vallenato music
The tune Saudade de Romaima is by Heleno dos Oito Baixos and originally played by the Pé de Serra Forró Band

Kipper me capstans! Los Piratas are available for cruises, ship launches or more conventional dos ...

All we need is a friendly space and a gang of bods willing to lend their ears, jiggle their skulls’n’bones and cross’em if affinity
220V spark bundles an advantage but not always necessary. Hailers and watsit may also be required depending on the pontoon and the ship capacity.
For all enquiries about possible cruising, send an e-parchment to the cabin boy!
