Joy; also know as Kristen M. Williams-Bass was born April 22, 1979. From a very early age, Joy has had a passion for performing arts. She began singing and taking piano lessons while attending H.S. Thompson Elementary and later at Charles Rice Elementary. At the age 12, Joy was accepted into the junior program of the Mahogany Dance Theatre of Dallas, where she has spent over 15 years refining her artistic gifts.Joy released her first album project in 2004 called "Experience Joy." Joy auditioned and got accepted at 6mts pregnant into the Jasmine Bates Dance Company in March of 2005. A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, Joy has also trained at Dallas Summer Musicals. She has ministered in dance and song at The Cathedral of Haziel Ministries, Kirkwood CME Temple, The Potter's House, Salt of the Earth Ministries, Concerts, Events, and many more. Joy has even been in the Dallas Morning News papers as well as on TV show Metro. Joy also started her own dance company called "A Joyous Occasion Dance Company" in 2007. Currently teaches all ages and performs all across the U.S. solo and with her company. So far shows to look forward to is, "My side of the Story", auto bio of her life through dance. Also performed "The Valley of Dry Bones", text from the bible brought to life on stage. And now preparing for “The Coreâ€, a concert celebrating 30 yrs of dance. Joy looks forward to a bright future filled with opportunities in dance, musical theatre, and other media where she can express herself. Joy has been recently married,is the mother of one son named Sovereign and has a baby girl on the way, Pheonix-Skye. She loves her life. She's not perfect but she is still here. She loves God, and believes in the power of prayer. She thinks that everyone should find their purpose in life and follow that. And her motto is "live life in peace".
