The band just finished recording their debut album, "Safe Return to Earth" with Award-winning producer Craig Porteils, who has numerous international credits and awards working with artists such as Guns n' Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll. The dynamic between Craig and The Jefferson produced a stand out first album from an indie band. "It's all quality," says Craig, "The album is one to look out for and the video looks incredible!"
With a big, melodic sound, The Jefferson are often compared to British bands like Snow Patrol and Stereophonics, the single "Days Are Falling" reached the Top 10 Pop songs in the Music Oz Awards 2010. Both singles ‘Running' and ‘Superstar' have also been receiving regular airplay on New Zealand's The ROCK FM and Australian Internet radio station RADAR Radio. The Jefferson generated compelling interest from music websites, including SongCast and OurStage - where both singles ‘Running' and ‘Superstar' have ranked Top 10 and The Jefferson were highlighted as a "band to watch."
Currently, after being confirmed for two of America's finest showcase festivals, including The Next Big Nashville, there is nothing but contagious excitement amongst the band! The Jefferson are heading to the U.S in September for a 5-week tour to promote their debut album, playing in cities across the USA including Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles, more dates to be confirmed.
