Curtis Bridgeman | MySpace Music VideosCurtis Bridgeman is a uniquely anointed worshiper with a blended style generated from his deeply rooted black gospel heritage. He was reared on the music of such gospel forerunners as Andre Crouch, Walter and Tramaine Hawkins, Daryl Coley, Larnelle Harris and The Clark Sisters. Jennifer Holiday was also a major musical influence. As a child growing up in TN, he was taught to sing by his mother and the members of the church he attended. He remembers singing “Sign Me Up For The Christian Jubilee†as a solo to his church at the age of eight. When Bridgeman entered middle school, he met the most influential musical person of his life--Kathy Hughes. She believed in Curtis and in his singing. He recalls she shared with him these words “Curtis, you aren’t just talented, you have a gift... and one day God is going to do great things through you.†These words began his quest to know more about music and about ministry.Bridgeman studied music and theater and went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Lee University where he toured for four years with Lee’s Campus Choir under the direction of his mentor, the late Dr. David Horton. Bridgeman traveled with the choir to such places as Germany, Greece, Romania, Hungary and Trinidad and Tobago. Bridgeman was most recently a featured soloist and worship leader with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries (JSM) in Baton Rouge, LA. Bridgeman was with JSM from January 2004 through February 2006. The services were broadcast live via the internet, SonLife Radio Network and aired via television around the world.
