MAP Music's game plan is to encompass all things musical and all things flavoursome, under one roof. MAP began in 1994 when punk t-shirt pioneer Chris Townsend decided to turn his focus from fashion to music by creating what he calls your musicians 'one stop music op' - a place which could deliver everything that a recording artist would need!
Soooo, over the years MAP has gradually become just this; a music complex offering a studio, cafe, management, record shop and a live venue! Our monthly parties are the perfect place to showcase talent, especially with our new stage built in our shop window (Amsterdam style!) where they can be viewed inside and out (smoker friendly!)! Get in contact if you fancy playing!MAP also aims to make its facilitiies accessable to everyone within the local community by opening an invitingly cosy cafe. *** Delectable food, delectable drinks, delectable decks and delectable discs, we welcome you to a warm and hospitable hang out***
MAP MUSIC MANAGEMENT We work with high quality artists from all musical backgrounds, in many capacities. We are currently working with Jimmy Screech, Private Lives, Ricky Ranking', Tymon Dogg, Banana Klan, Alexander Nilere (The Black Moth) and Sam Amant.
MAP MUSIC STUDIOS Live recordings can be made in our studio with an adjoining live booth. Studio hire £35 p/h with one of our super engineers.
MAP MUSIC RECORD SHOP pick up some rare records by MAP artists and others, GANG jeans, original 70s t-shirts n crystal jewelry.
MAP STUDIO CAFE pop in for Mappuccinos, for tasty sarnies n soups, homemade cakes and smmmmoothies. We also exhibit local artists' work on a monthly basis. This has included Merlin Glozier, Adrian Mars, Tim Davies and Anthony Andrea. Look out for our street art show in January '08.
