Angels & Demons and The DaVinci code are the best books I've read in a long time, possibly ever. Other favorites are The Prophet, The Eye of the Prophet, Catcher in the Rye, James and the Giant Peach, Desperation, and Where the Sidewalk Ends. I really like Edgar Allen Poe as well.
