Belfast Records is an independent DIY record label that Toxic Waste set up to release their own material back in the eighties. Since then technology has changed an now the whole structure of the corporate music industry can be challenged by small labels with Internet distribution. We are currently releasing much of the old material from the Warzone Collective including the Toxic Waste recordings, most of which people may never have heard but also the previously released albums on various record labels such as Mortarhate and Skuld records. You can buy any of the materials on DVD or CD through the website in the knowledge that any profit will go back into helping to promote the newer up and coming bands in the anarcho scene. We will also be providing a ‘sliding scale’ option for people to download and pay what they would like for the materials. We are also offering bands ways of getting their recordings duplicated printed and distributed through the label along with touring support and events organisation. This doesn’t mean we are experts and that we will wipe your ass for you, but it seems timely again to promote the ideas, politics, music, art and collective approach which previously defined the Anarcho-punk scene worldwide..BelfastRecords is a D.I.Y label! Genres include PUNK, TRANCE, ELECTRONIC, ROCK, INDIE, ALTERNATIVE, RAGGAE, SKA, INDUSTRIAL, BREAKBEAT, HARDCORE etc. We are currently working with Rob, Stig and Roy Mayorga on an independent DVD release of a history of Amebix.
