I started playing guitar when I was about 11 or 12 yrs old. Lots of: Ozzy, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Dio... I was an 80's Metal head you could say. Then a guitar player by the name of Randy Rhodes changed me forever... He started my need for classical music after learning his classical score "DEE" written for his mother in the OZZY Years. After that I started to learn Bach and Beethoven material to stay challenged inside the Classical misic.
My greatest influence and teachers were 1st Tommy Roberts . If it were not for Tommy I would not be where I am today. Tommy always had a great knack for improvising solos and just jamming out. Tommy and myself would spend many nights over at our friend Stacy Cummings house, listening to Stac shred out and play many hard hitting metal tunes note for note. Rush, Zeppelin, UFO, OZZY, Zebra, and later - Yngwie, Satriani, Greg Howe etc. I had played with Tommy until he and his family moved to Kankakee in the mid 80's. After that I played with many other local musicians in and around Lemont, IL. One of my most memorable bands that lasted more than 2 yrs, ...8 yrs to be exact, was with Stacy Cummings (guitar extraordinaire) playing: Jeff Beck, Satch, Greg Howe, Yngwie and many other cover instrumentals. Since then I have been playing with Tommy on and off, and a few others. Nothing serious latley, I have been filling in for some local bands in need of some bass lines. Studio and live gig's. I'm willing to help anyone out in need of a bass player. Let me know.
