I write. It's what I do. Oh, there are other things that fill up life and earn a stable dollar, and these are enjoyable sideroads. But when I look in the mirror in the morning, I still see a shred of that sixth-grader who wanted to write about giant man-eating space griffins and humanity's noble plight against them.
I’m a great fan of both medieval and early American literature and have just finished another novel, which I’m now editing/enhancing. This latest is my true calling, which is a blend of historical fiction and fantasy, set in colonial Connecticut. That said, one would not be surprised to learn that I am a Nathaniel Hawthorne junkie and I consider the House of the Seven Gables in Salem one of the coolest tourist attractions in the country.
I have (after more than a small amount of resistance) been converted into a Lost fan by my girlfriend. (And, no, I don’t think they know where they’re going with it. That’s why it’s fun. And how exactly does an island disappear?) I love wine. Amongst reds, cabernet sauvignon rules the roost; for whites, sauvignon blanc is king. A glass of either and a keyboard are the building blocks of life. (Silly, overrated DNA...)
