A Humming From The Wood

It was in the hot summer of 2001, near the lake Trasimeno/Italy, when two girls from Uslar/Germany suddenly realized that they were supposed to dedicate their lives (or at least their free-time) to MUSIC. As soon as they were home again, they consulted the Master Of Rock: Magic Mike! He agreed to initiate them into the secrets of guitar magic. After a while, the girls began to discover that they had a voice to sing with and began to use it as well. Very soon, they started to write songs themselves, trying to catch the mysterious atmosphere of the woods. They also wrote about small incidents that made everyday life a bit more colourful and of course, love is another important thing to write about.From 2003 on they had some small experiences on stage and had fun playing in the streets of nearby cities. But after they had the great honour to get to know Mr. Thomas Hansen, nothing should be the same anymore. He invited them to be his spontanous St. Thomas support act in Kassel on October 1st, 2005 and in Hannover in March 2007. There are so many happy memories connected with him and his music... (We miss you, Thomas.)A Humming From The Wood played their first official concerts in Halden and Fredrikstad, Norway in June 2007. The shows were organized by their dear friends from Tellusalie. There, they sold their home-recorded CD “Eight Songs For You!”. (If you would like to have one just contact us.)
