Abaddon

The band was formed in Shumen, Bulgaria in 1999 like a death metal group when the lead guitarist and singer - Marin, the drummer - Simeon and the rhythm guitarist - Ivan decided to play together . They left their previous project called Deffect and they focused on the death metal . The band changed the name to Abaddon , which is taken from Latin and it means Angel of Death or also Angel of the Abyss . The bassist - Nikolai left the band, because he didn't like the style , so Abaddon started to look for a substitute . They orientated to Simeon's friend called Filip . He really played the bass very well, but he wanted to be a guitarist . He has studied solo and rhythm so the other band-members decided to make him a guitarist . Along with it they were searching for a vocalist . Then Stoyan came in the band and they started making covers and their own songs . After a few concerts the vocalist Stoyan and the rhythm guitarist Ivan quited the band . Abaddon started to search for a bassist and a new singer . Like a result of that the lead guitarist - Marin started testing his old talants like a singer and he became the vocalist of the band . Abaddon didn't find a bassist in the next few months , but one of Simeon's best friends - Milen decided to join the band as a bass- guitarist. The other band-members were impressed of him, but soon he quited the group. In 2004 only Marin was in the band and then Plamen ( from the non-existing now band Brainstorm ) became a drummer. They played together a lot, they practiced on covers and they had a few concerts. In 2005 they found a new guitarist- Todor from Yambol and a new bassist- Spiridon from Cherven bryag . At the beggining of the year they made the first demo called "Abaddon". It has 13 tracks recorded with the previous drummer- Simeon. In August the secong demo - "Borderline" was ready. It has 4 tracks. In 2006 the next demo came out. It has 5 tracks - 2 of the songs are written by the band and the other 3 are covers- Benediction, Cock`n`Ball Torture and Krabathor. The demo was recorded by Marin and Plamen.
