SCrIbBle - what is ScriBble?? ...well, in a sentence - let's say we are a quartet of experienced musical artists vying to accomplish something new and slightly different than your average "bar band". Average being four rough-looking guys on a black stage playing drums, bass and one electric guitar thru a BIG marshall with a singer belting out classic rock schpeil for 3 hours. *boring*So our take is for something that requires a little more committment and attention to detail and a product that will sell. A product that will leave audience members thinking "wow" and wanting more, wanting another song, wanting to look these guys up when I get home, or even inspire somone to learn guitar, or songwriting or even start working harder on their talents, etc... That's what I like to feel when I go see a band at a show - walk out feeling inspired and fresh and entertained. Now we want to pass on that feeling to someone else.We are doing this by sporting a flexible song list of a collaborration of olde music, the needed classics as well as the newer industry standards and of course, our own original music as well. Not played as if you're hearing the CD either - "Those bands are very impressive in doing these feats but I know what the CD sounds like! Entertain me please? show us what you can do!" Cover songs rewritten tastefully with a ScRiBble twist - played on an assortment of handy instruments including the usual drums and electric guitars, but hand percussion, congas, timbales, mandolin, acoustic 12 string, digital sampling, rhythm generators, synth processors, keys, penny whistle, kazoos, string drum, the electric hockey stick and other shitty instruments we buy and make ourselves. (yes, we have a sense of humour too!)All four members of ScRiBble take turns Round-Robin singing lead and backing vocals to break the monotonous drone that you would experience listening to that one guy singing all night in that "other band".So we hope you enjoy our show, saok in the music and feel inspired to create.B;
