A group of individuals, originally brought together in 1999 with a common cause in taking back true music form, which now seems to be lost. Though the current collection of TransformersDetroit individuals come from variety of different backgrounds, and are all aimed toward different personal goals, it's the fast growing, collective soul, and creativity of each individual that keeps our actual mission at heart.
The mission itself could be described as the "awakening" of individuals into their own pure expression, through cultivation of the body, mind, and spirit. Sometimes all you need is a little push... each one of us(humans) exist to benefit the other by providing a way to change(evolution, you dig). Being the teacher and the student.
TRANSFORMERSDETROIT is more of philosophy and less of an organization, that philosophy being that we all feel that most folks these days approach art and in fact life in general with the wrong perspective... falling into patterns, wanting more, giving less, and ultimately not ever finding the right reason for doing the things they do... and that what we ought to do is stop sleeping and become active in the process of becoming who we hope to be, as we are all constantly changing. the hope is to be more centered and to find more meaning in our work(whatever it may be) and in our relationships with others. the hope is to find and help find the things that we keep looking for. its about learning.
