About Me

Jon Senna, Blah Blah Ha Ha Wilmington, NC, local Jon Senna began writing poetry and songs 14 years ago. He came of age listening to artists like the Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam, and grunge music lit the spark for his own creative fire. He spent the next decade exploring sound and expression, jamming blues and rock riffs on electric guitar with friends. Ultimately, he discovered that none of these genres really fit him. Only in the last four years, have time and experience finally poured him into his own sound. His debut cd Blah Blah Ha Ha is a culmination of those years spent writing songs and performing at open mics, acoustic gigs and songwriter showcases in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. The tracks are, in his words, “existential breakdown music.” Jon’s songs don’t tell stories so much as convey emotion. Inspired by author Jack Kerouac‘s freeform writing style, Jon never sits down to pen and paper with a theme. He intentionally leaves his songs ambiguous so listeners can find their own meanings, and he avoids the typical boy-meets-girl and happily-ever-after subjects with their neatly tied up endings, focusing instead on why we are here and why we are breathing. The result is a collection of unpredictable melodies and sharp lyrics that resonate with frankness and intensity. Jon Senna is currently touring the East Coast to promote his new album.Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! Make your own banner at MyBannerMaker.com! </
