Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth. - JFK

About Me

Fun, outgoing, jack-of-all-trades, looking to get out with other like-minded people. A good guy with a strong bad boy streak.I'm a 19-yr Navy veteran, personal trainer and professional model......philosopher, leader, writer.......teacher, activist, organizer.I'm in search of the meaning of life, learning how to live life to its fullest, and starting to find my own way. I'm a non-conformist in a uniform. I hate living life like everyone else; I wish people would wake up and realize that life isn't about your commute, your two-car garage, what's on sale at Target or your 401k. Everyone I know seems to be missing out on life while they just go through the motions. Some personal drama these last few years has awakened me from my great American daydream, and now I'm living life instead of it living me.I'm a writer, and I love to write: blogs on social issues, especially relationships and how people interact, poetry (but suprisingly only when I'm in a bad mood), and short stories, which I'll throw in now and again. I'm funnier in person than I am on paper, but I'll try and throw in some funny shit now and again.I'm a certified personal trainer in the Baltimore/Fells Point area. I'm also studying to be a life coach since I have lots of experience in and a talent for helping people achieve their goals, breaking down their issues into a set of goals and inspiring confidence.I'm a professional model, OMP 161624. You can check me out there, or see some of my looks here. I'm interested in runway or print work mostly, but as this isn't what is paying my bills, I'm looking to do just about anything.I'm a part-time dad of two great kids -- they both live hours away, so I see them as much as I can, which is never enough.Tyler Durden: You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

I'm interested in just about anything that leads to a good, fun life, great experiences and general satisfaction and happiness. I'm at that turning point in my life, where I'm looking at life for what it is, where I've been and where I want to go. Tired of living "the American daydream", where we just work our asses off to own useless shit. I'm more interested in lots of great experiences and lots of good relationships with all kinds of people. I consider that I'm coming out of my 'mid-life crisis', and while it wasn't always enjoyable, I did learn a lot -- can't complain about that.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent, fun, capable people. I'm not looking for a quickie or some online silliness. I'm all about having fun, but I've had enough Myspace drama.I would like to meet someone near my age, who has a career, has their shit together, and enjoys life. I know that's not too much to ask. This is not a fan club. I don't want fans, but friends, real friends that I can see and feel and touch, people that I can care about and who care about me. If you are ONLY here for the pretty pictures, don't bother. Trust me; we both need more than that.

You Should Be a Film Writer
You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen! What Type of Writer Should You Be?Always reading anything. I have four stacks of unread books in my living room: non-fiction: philosophy and sociology or psychology mostly, and fiction: fantasy, sci-fi and horror mostly.

Heroes:

"bounce"i'm tired
and i'm worn out from everything
i'm wasting away
and i just can't try anymore
take me away
to a place where i can find peace
find me a place
where the sun is shining brightly
show me where
i can lie down and be loved
a place near you
where i let my cares slip away.i'm tired
but i must go on ahead
i'll stand up again
and show you the way once more
follow me still
for even when i falter i'll carry you forward
and know in your heart
that i will never let you down
see in your mind
that i can be everything you ever wanted
and open yourself up
to that long long journey ahead.i'm tired
but i'll be all that i've promised
i'm lonely you see
but i am only waiting to feel loved
i'm broken and worn
but i will rise again and be whole
i just need you
and you'll see that i can be great again
i just need a moment
to lie down and ease my burden
hold me close
and i will be whole once more.
