This is the first demo of Ghaya, with the four songs in the myspace´s player.
"Fighting Against Illusions" was recorded at 2005 with our own equipament, and with an old line-up.
"Fighting Against Illusions" is Alexandre DiPauli at the Keyboards, Vocals And Backing Vocals. Chris Loveridge (Guilherme Lipinski) at the guitars, Felipe Ribeiro at the bass, Dionatan Santos at the drums and Rod Estevez at the guitars.
In 2006 Rod Estevez (one founder member of Ghaya), leaves the band and in his place came in Alex Tellini, a famous guitar teacher in Porto Alegre. Alexandre DiPauli stay only with the keyboards and backing vocals, and after a lot os tests Taylor Flamesteel came to be the new vocalist of Ghaya.
"Fighting Against Illusions", is a conceptual epic álbum, and shows a "Power Metal" side of the band.
Now We have a lot of other songs, and we´re still working in a lot of new ones. We don´t like specifcs labels!!!! Ghaya is in general a Heavy Metal band, but there are some fucking Hard Rock songs, some good and old Heavy Metal and Melodic Metal songs, and some "BANG YOUR HEAD" Power Metal songs!!!! WAW, did you like it???!!!

NOW, A LITTLE OF OUR HISTORY!Ghaya (originally from "Gaia", Yeah!!! someday we had watched Final Fantasy movie), is the Godness of Greek Mythology that personify the Earth. It´s all the vital power of our planet, Power that is retracted in our music and in our concerts!
Ghaya was born in 2001 with other name: World´s Slaves. Our first purpose was to be a tribute to Iron Maiden. However, after lots of changes in the line-up, a new way begun to be more real and easy for the band.
With the maturation and experience of the band, our ideias came to be expressed in wonderfull songs composed majority by Chris Loveridge. Three songs are interconnected and were recorded in a demo cd called "Fighting Against Illusions". In the concerts, Ghaya show for the people a lot of power and fellings, captivating a lot of fans in all these years.
