_THE Institutional Radio Choir_As one of the oldest recording choirs still going on,God has still promised to take us from Glory to Glory...The Institutional Radio Choir was founded in 1954 when Bishop Carl E. Williams Sr. began the broadcast on a local radio station. The first president of the choir was Mother Eva Edwards. Later, the choir was placed under the direction of Alfred and Bishop JC White. Alfred was the master of the hammond organ and J.C provided all the songs. This was a great team to do great things for the lord. The choirs first album was entitled "Well Done" in the early 60's. During that time The Late Professor John Hasson also came along to help the choir do bigger and better things. In 1966, Shirley Ceasar selected the choir to do backup for her first solo album "ILL GO". This recording featured two of Bishop Whites Songs: He Holdeth the reign and STRETCH OUT. Stretch Out is sung by almost every church all over the world. This song has been recently rerecorded by Vicki Winans. The radio choir recieved its first Gold Record for Stretch Out. During this time the choir had recorded 3 more albums: My Testimony, Gospel Blessed with soul and GRACE. THe choir had their 5th Anniversary at Carnegie Hall. The choir has recorded many other albums such as: This is the right time, One More Day, Come out here to stay lord, new life new love, Hes Standing BY, Say somehing for the lord, THe 25th Anniversary, Its Praying TIme, Believe,I Will Give You Praise,Feel Like Pressing, The REUNION,The Greatest HIts Vol 1. ,The Institutional Radio Choir Live AND many More!! The Latest album released in 2006 Just Have CHurch!! Just Have Church was recorded At The Institutional Church on October 18th 2004. THe Choir has traveled all around the world. They have traveled to Japan, Greece, Brazil, Sao Palo, Spain, France, Geneva, and many other places. THE CHOIR IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL!!! They havent stopped..
