As long as I can remember I was connected to music.
As a kid I was listening to the vinyl my parents were spinning on their rp.
It was the music of Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Blood Sweat and Tears etc. that affected my grasp in music.
Aged 12 I began to play bass guitar and soon checked into several Alternative-Rock-Indie-Hardcore-Punk bands. A few years, a record deal and a tour later I was more and more attracted to the growing roots of electronic music.
But because I was not one of the chosen, exclusively living by doing music, I started a career as an editor in the film biz. To be honest there's no difference between editing and music.... its all about rhythm, composition and gigs. I love editing, as I love doing music. However, the job didn't give me enough time for steady rehearsals in bands and so I had to quit.
Anybody who has ever produced music knows that it's a drug and that it's impossible to kick that habit. The cold turkey will catch you up until you get back to being creative, anyhow.
So I started dj..ing, which I did before but not to that extend and once again found myself exploring beats, sounds and styles without being constraint.
Right after dissecting the wax on my examination tables I felt the need to go beyond, only serving tunes but again to create something on my own.
I am still growing and I'd love to hear from other producers, artists, records labels, vocalists, djs or listeners who are feeling stuff on a similar tip.
