About Me

Welcome to the making of an extraordinary collaborative record---evocative beats, compelling imagery & melodies, and live & sampled sound from around the planet.

Amelia's songbird vocal style has been described as dreamy, sweet, soothing, and optimistic. These unmastered demo tracks, recorded at Echobass Studio (2005), have been played live in the company of the live electro organic groove collective Dub & Bass.

MORE TRACKS TO COME

[Keep your ears open for jazz duets with the excellent Paul Wolstencroft on piano, fly tracks with the wise Mister Rourke, collaborative songwriting with jedi Matthew Diekmann on acoustic guitar, and more.]

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Amelia and ("et") a circle of fine musicians, composers, producers, and engineers from near & far.

AT THE TOP OF THE MP3 PLAYER is a tune I wrote and recorded at Echobass Studios in 2004. The guy I call "Dub" of Echobass Studios and 10 ft Ganja Plant; Myron Bytz of Terminal Bytz and Tricyclic; Dan Berkson; Vibes played by Wendy (formerly of Reverend Glasseye). Full list of musicians to come.......

SECOND FROM THE TOP is Washwoman, recorded at Echobass Studios, a song I wrote back in about 2004. Original riddim is "Real Rock" by Sound Dimension (Studio One, 1967). My good friend Craig Akira Fujita, from Pressure Cooker sings lead vocals and I'm on back-ups. At the end of the song, a whole bunch of friends and family sing with me: Michael O'Connor, Ras Jay, Rondo, even my littlest sister (who was only about 5 yrs old at the time). Full list of musicians to come.......

THIRD FROM THE TOP is a low-grade garage band vox practic session of Aint Misbehavin. Just playin around. Hey, Paul Wolstencroft on piano!! If ya don't like to hear the vox hissin like a ginger ale, then let's get together and record it properly : )

AT THE BOTTOM is a low-grade garage band take of an Elvis cover I'm thinking about and a rare example of me playing rookie guitar while singing.

Thanks for listening.
