Leon Anderson

Welcome Artist's, up and coming Artist's and Genuin peeps who are interested in my page, My name is Leon Anderson, I live in Croydon. I've been involved in music from the age of 3 when I sat down at my fathers keyboard and played my first chord, from then my parents insisted that i will learn the piano. My father was in his studio night after night producing tracks, i didnt really get to see much of him because he was either in studio or on tour with his group Aswad. He was the lead keboard and backing singer for them and was well respected by the group and people who knew him because had the gift of playing by ear and amazed alot of people with the talent. By the age of six I started Piano Lessons, I managed to get to grade 4 which isn't that great but the whole time I too couldn't read music. At the age of Eighteen with a catologue of tracks not really doing anything with them my father died. He was involved in a car crash in Paris coming home from a gig where a member of his group fell asleep at the wheel. At this time he was working on his own album 'Finally' which sadly got released after his death because his dream was to see his album hit the shops. At the funeral people after people commented on his gift of playing the keyboard and how he touched people with his tunes, it made me really think and i said to myself ' My dad has passed this talent to me, I cant waste it. A few hours after the funeral a Friend of my father (Patrick Hall) came up to me and heard that I was also talented on the keboard and gave me the chance to experiance a big part of my dads life and my dream which was to record in a recording studio. I also discovered another talent while working with Patrick and that was that I had a voice. Looking back at my tracks at eighteen I have improved dramatically, there is still worked to do as in vocal tuition but I will suceed, I need to for my father and especially ME! It is my dream to be established in the music industry and stay so for years to come. With the help of god and you guys I feel its possible. I not only want to be established as a producer/singer I also one day would like to own my own label and discover unsigned talent just like me. I'm currently working with MC Jazzy J and we have just started to fulfill our dream and create our label Of2Mindz Productions. Before I go I got to mention LEISUREGROOVE because these guy's had so much time and made so much effort for me and gave me confidence which I lacked a great deal. From day one we had a connection we work so good as a team, I hope will carry on as a team. I thank you guys big time and goodluck with your project STEREOTYPZ.
