About Me

Tan Tuncag, who combines the acoustic elements and technology in his music, continues his London originated musical adventure in Turkey. During the years he lived in London, he played in several clubs and took the attention of the young audience. With his different perspective of new electronic music, he was noticed by the music authorities in Turkey. Becoming one of the leaders of new cross-platform art in Turkey, Tuncag has started writing music for theatre, films, TV, and commercials. One of these was an alternative TV program called Defakto which aired on CNN during 2004-2005 season. He performed with the important Djs and electronica groups such as Plaid, Mouse on Mars, The Orb, Chemical Brothers. He is also the co-founder of the band Portecho with Deniz Cuylan. Portecho's first album will be released before September 2006.

Influences: This page shows my solo works that I started working on recently from the free time I find out of Portecho. I have always written upbeat tunes with vocals but this time I tried to do something very different from what I've done before. I call this project "City-Scapes" as all the tunes reflect a deeper and darker side of urban life as they swirl in an atmospheric, immersing tone. Hope you enjoy the trip.
PS: I also intend to use this one as a personal page. Please send your comments and messages specific to me to this account. Thanks.
PSS: Since I do not intend release this project for the time being, I made the tracks downloadable; however they are protected by copyrights, Courtesy of RH Pozitif Publishing and Elec-trip Records. Please use them at your discretion.
