Formed in late in 2002, the lineup features Mitch Cairns on Bass, Adam Miller on guitar, Steve Fuller on drums, and Jason Bone on Saxophones.
“Fumi Boca” has quickly gone on to perform at some of Australia’s most prestigious musical events such as “Jazz in the Vines” and “A Day on the Green” receiving raving reviews…
After much demand “Fumi Boca: released its highly anticipated debut album “Bending It” (2004) which was met with huge success with both Newcastle and Sydney releases.
The album since went on to receive further acknowledgment after winning the Jazz Category of the 2005 1233 ABC Music Awards, after being nominated 3 years running...
Fumi Boca has spent the last two years touring and promoting their funky, jazzy grooves both nationally and internationally.
They have earnt a reputation as one of Newcastle’s “must see acts” after holding a monthly residency at “The Hotel Delany” for four straight years.
All members of “Fumi Boca” have individually become high demand session musicians, touring the globe, all performing and recording with the Music Industries elite.
“Fumi Boca” plans to continue performing and recording well into the future.
