I am not yet 30, and I have been married to a wonderful husband for five years.
I have a bachelor's degree from National University of Health Sciences because I was studying to become a naturopathic family practice physician. While I'm still very interested in oriental medicine and homeopathy, I don't want to pursue it as a career. At the moment, I'm looking into a second undergrad degree in English. Then, I'd like to get a master's in Translation and later, an M.A./Ph.D. in
Asian Studies, so I can translate ancient texts. I enjoy being a student, and I want to take classes that interest me. I want to be a scholar.
I live my life according to the principles of yoga, and I've been studying Eastern philosophy, particularly Buddhism. I want to learn Tai Chi. Overall, I try to lead a happy, healthy life...
Here is an interesting tidbit. James and I eloped after only 4 months of dating, and although we had previously been friends for 7 months, he spent 4 of those months in Kuwait! It was an amazing whirlwind romance.
James and I have four cats: Faune (girl) & Culann (boy) and Bija (girl) & Huckleberry (boy). I have a million pics of them posted. They are so much fun.....So now we're a family of six. We love them all so much, and they love each other. They are well behaved, too, so four cats aren't that hard to raise. They keep each other company while we're away at school. And they're so darn adorable!
While we do also want children, we'd like to wait until James gets a salaried job. I'd like to get a house and be more settled first. I am interested in environmental concerns, the state of our government, and the disappearing middle class. I am very liberal in politics, and I believe in peace, ..
