Metallica was formed by Lars Ulrich, And James Hetfield They met up and jamed. They where both influced by New Wave Of British Heavy Metal(Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Venom. When these 2 metalheads met they never knew they would be the most popular metal band ever. Metallica picked up lead guitarist Lloyd grant, then they got Ron McGovney, and Dave Mustaine and Grant was out. Metallica played gigs at partys, Highschool dances. A demo called No Life 'Til Leather, was the hottest thing going threw the LA area. Then Metallica got ride of Ron and got a Bass guitarist by the name Cliff Burton, in order to get his they had to move to San Fransico.They Make Metal Up your ass(now Kill Em All. They Go to New york To be CHeck out by Megaforce records, when there they Kicked Mustain out and found San Fransico Native Kirk Hammett.Kill em all was relesed they toured with the band that would make 2 more albums. Ride the lightning was relesed, then followed by master of puppets, On tour with fellow metal man ozzy osbourne, metallica played huge staduim tours warming up for him Giving ozzy a run for his money. on Saturday, the 27th of September, 1986 the most tragic event in metallicas history happened Bassist Cliff Burton, was killed in a freak bus accident the bus turned over and cliff was left under the bus.Metallica Recruited Bassist Jason Newsted, metallica relesed and justiced for all with jason, Jason was not metallicas favorite person during this time, they poured beer on him, Metallica relesed There most selling Album to date Metallica(also called the Black Album). during this time metallica is doing huge tours, everyone has heard a metallica song, and it is a house hold name. In 1996 Metallica relesed Load, Metallica Has newly cut hair when this album is relesed some fans are upset,I myself do not care it is just hair it doesnt change there Music in anyway.Reload was relesed in 1997, Metallica Played on Saturday Night Live, and lots of tours.Garage Inc Was relesed with all cover songs from Bob Seger To the Misfits To Motorhead in 1999, metallica Profromed Live cd S&M with the san fransico orchritra. In 2000, Metallica proformed " I dissappear" for the Mission Impossible 2 movie. Napster had the song on there and millions of people where downloading it. Metallica Filled a lawsuit aginist Napster. Metallica Fans didnt like this a broke cds, protested aginist them. James Has been Addicted to alchol and james went into a drug and alchol rehab.Jason Newsted left the band because of problem. Metallica was in the process of writing there latest album. James came out of rehab and he finished writing st anger. This was a rough time with metallica they didnt know if they where going to be a band anymore. But they pulled through with a new bassist Robert Trujillo.
