About Me

Wildlife Survival ... a non-profit 501c3 exotic animal and wildlife Sanctuary. We are dedicated to providing permanent homes for wildlife & exotic animals, whether they were abused or just need a new home. Formed in May 2000, we are located on ten acres just north of Tampa in Spring Hill, Florida. We started this sanctuary because the problems facing wildlife in captivity are quite numerous. Most of these animals are purchased by people who want to own them for personal status or financial gain! Unfortunately very little thought is given to their care or the cost of owning them. Then you have so-called "sanctuaries" who seem to be more interested in breeding or purchasing cubs, leaving adult animals who desperately need homes, no place to go! Most of these situations end with the animal being put down or forced to live a life of misery in unsanitary conditions. Sometimes people just run into hard times, and no matter how much they love their animals, they aren't able to provide for them. Our mission here at Wildlife Survival is to provide them with large natural habitats where they can live their lives out to the fullest possible extent. We can't rescue every animal that needs a home, so we need to enlist the aid of other organizations and people with similar goals to help. Wildlife Survival is run by a non-paid volunteer staff, we have no administrative costs. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to the animals. We depend on the public for support, we need your help! Wildlife Survival Sanctuary has NEVER bred animals, sold them or purchased them!! If we can introduce 2 animals for companionship, they are neutered and spayed! We currently have only 2 animals that are not neutered, 1 male Leopard, he does not share his habitat with a female, and 1 male cougar, because of health reasons, but again I stress, they are NOT in with other animals!
