MARTIANS FROM URANUS
Martians From Uranus or MFU as they are known to their fans, is a band that gets the job done. They create a mix of old school punk rock with driving rock and roll. They are Scott McIntosh on lead vocals and guitar, Roger Romaine on guitar , Nick Nza on bass and vocals, and Sean Block on drums.
ADDICTIONS (2002), the debut album on Lady Die Records, features 85% original material written by McIntosh and boasts special guest, former Heartbreaker, Walter Lure performing on the tracks Junky Business and One Track Mind.
Not being the shy type, MFU showcased their sound at live performances at Don Hill’s, CBGB’s, Continental, Siberia and The Kings Club. The gang has opened for acts such as The Undead, The Vibrators and Dr. Chud’s X Ward. They have successfully brought their sound to the college circuit with performances at SUNY Oneonta’s O-Fest and SUNY Cortland. Most recently, the band performed at the Massachusetts rock festival, Locobazooka.
MFU found their musical ability validated when their music was used on the HBO hit series – SEX AND THE CITY.
In 2004, Lady Die Records sent MFU on their first tour starting in Cincinnati and traveling through out the US with stops in Nashville, Memphis, Fresno, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver and Grand Rapids. The tour ended with a sell out crowd in back in Cincinnati.
