He received his Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Bostons renowned Berklee College of Music, where he was a scholarship student.Slava Tolstoy has written songs for various artists in the US and Europe. During his Berklee years Slava was a recipient of several awards as a songwriter and producer. He was also among the finalist in the latest USA Songwriting Competition with his song "Single Woman". His style ranges from RnB/urban tracks to AC ballads, from neo soul to gospel/inspirational songs.Recently Slava had a pleasure of working in San Francisco with a talented singer J.Fishot and a Grammy winning violinist Mads Tolling. In June 2006 Slava recorded world famous drummer Kenny Aronoff in NYC for an upcoming CD of Rasul Z.Currently Slava is producing two aspiring artists: singer songwriter from Europe Rasul Z. and virtuoso flute player Geni.
