About Me

I dance in this purple rain, wear sunglasses at night, run through the halls of my high school (and scream at the top of my lungs), all while fighting the battle of who could care less. I've got soul but I'm not a soldier. Come to think of it, I'm actually a huuuuuuge nerd. But dont tell anyone. Sometimes I get mistaken for Taylor "I drum for the Foo's" Hawkins. That gives me street cred. Word. I'm an actor. Or at least I tell that to people. More cred. Because really, when it comes down to it, cred is all you've got, right? I'm so hip it hurts. (Insert sarcasm here) I edited my profile with a tube of Vasilube.

My Interests

Masks. We all wear masks, metaphorically speaking...

I'd like to meet:

Everyone at some point or another. But I'm not very good with names. Watch for the "Hey buh-ddy!". Pauly Shore is so back.

Strike that: He never left.

Check out my sketch comedy team, Kathleen Turner Overdrive!

We're fun, and winners of the NOW Magazine Audience Choice Award at the 2007 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival!

Music:

Evvvvvverything. Except most commercial rap. And most "Gangsta" rap. And really serious country music. I like a bit of country. Like, Ryan Adams-country. And I'm not so into the "World music" scene, be it African, Latin, Bulgarian or whatever's trendy this week. Really heavy metal's no good either. Alexisonfire is fun, but Slipknot is, well, not. So yeah. I like pretty much everything. Don't judge a person based on musical taste alone. If it's out there, chances are, someone, somewhere likes it.

Movies:

"Fuckabees."

Television:

It's all about "the Office". These people are my friends an family, and I don't know how or why. "Lost" is still golden; same goes for "Entourage", "Weeds", 60's "Batman", and the new "Battlestar Galactica" [don't knock it 'till ya try it!]

Take it to a WHOLE NUTHA LEVEL! Watch, then grab this bad boy. Cloverfield is gonna be the bomb!

Books:

I can't read good.

Heroes:

Rob Gordon, Martin Q. Blank, Ivan Alexeev, Lloyd Dobler, Jonathan Trager, Nick Falzone, Denny Lachance, Craig Schwartz, Lane Meyer, and Jamie-Lee Symister.

My Blog

Best of 07: Albums

1. Radiohead's In RainbowsA fairly obvious choice I'm sure. It's topped about a zillion critics lists -- heck, I even blogged about it the night I got it, gushing ever so slightly. I don't need to go ...

The Revolution Might Be Televised (It’s Been A Long Time)

This is good. Really good. I'm actually excited to tell people about this and it's just getting started. I'm lying down, in my room, in my bed; in almost absoute darkness."I want to turn my eyeballs ...

Robot Dance

I was cleaning up my computer today after realizing just how sluggish this beast really is -- so much so that I couldn't even defrag (apparently you need at least 1.4 gigs of space to defragment...who...

Hot CHiPS

So I stopped at the gas station today, after being urged by a little light in my dash to be anally raped by a complete stranger the government seems to like, and decided that the whole thing...

The Greater Good

I spent the weekend DJing a conference at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, which was a total blast. DJing usually is, and it's even better when you have a captive, repeating audience over the course...

Call of Duty

A few summers ago, I saw the very awesome Cardigans play a show in Toronto. I feel I should mention that they were not the headlining act (spot reserved for the almighty Liz Phair), but rather part o...

Quit Your Day Job

I've come the conclusion that, in my life will never become a 9-5 working man. That's not to say I refuse to work, because I do (or to assume manliness too, I suppose...).I ju...
