TOO-TIKI was created in 1999 and it combines electronic and pop music.
Besides playing different kinds of music, they also use several languages, even if very often, they prefer English, because it adapts better to this music genre and it's more universal.
So far, they have made many gigs in the provinces of Turin and Cuneo and several all around Italy.
In spring 2001, they took part in several contests. They played at the selections for Arezzo Wave and for the final performances of Colonia Sonora, Rourestock and Alessandria Wave. In 2000 they recorded their first ep "Falena" and it contained three songs, a little later they managed promoting two new works - recorded in June 2001- which represent the artistic evolution of the band. In March 2002 they completed the new ep "Vermilion", by adding four songs.In 2002 they managed to be the protagonists of the final stage of Arezzo Wave and they won the competition called "Soundtrack2" which had been organised by G.B. Pergolesi music school in Jesi...
In Arezzo, they didn't expect to have such a success, but to their great surprise they won the prize of the Arezzo Wave foundation which has been working only for an year, but which already gives a lot of opportunities.In 2003 live performances are going on and they are once again invited in Arezzo Wave, but this time just like guests.
In october, they sign with MilanoLab indie label, and begin working on their singles, joining with Madaski and his mixing studio.
At the same time starts the collaboration with two of the most popular comics designers of the italian-french outline: Barbucci & Canepa. In facts,with the creators of Skydoll, it exists a great, artistic understanding that grows on and on. So, singles' covers will be signed Barbucci and Canepa
and Too-tiki has already finished a mini-soundtrack for the french issue of Skydoll n3. The mini ep
it will feature 3 tracks completely inspired by the plastic heroine of Skydoll.
The release of Too-tiki's first single " Jellyfish" is expected for spring 2004, whereas Skydoll (mini ep free copy included) will be probably released in september.
