DEBUT INSTRUMENTAL RECORD "IF AND WHEN" Available on CD Baby and ITunes...Stephen Johnson is a New Jersey based guitarist/vocalist currently playing with the South Jersey based cover band Brian Kirk & The Jirks. He also leads his own Funk/Rock group CHAMELEON. Stephen plays all kinds of music, including Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rock, Reggae, etc.....He has played with many different national acts, including the Delphonics, The Persuaders, McFadden & Whitehead ('Aint no stoppin' us now!), The Stylistics, The Escorts, Soul Generation, Keisa Brown as well as Anthony Krizan (Spin Doctors) and many others. Steve has played various venues such as the Beacon Theater, Loews Theater,Orpheum Theater (Boston), PNC Arts Center, and Constitution Hall (Washington,DC), and has worked many festivals as well, including the Doylestown and Black Potatoe festivals. In addition to his busy performance schedule, he keeps a full roster of private students, many of whom have gone on to study music at Institutions such as Berklee, Mason Gross, USC, The New School and University of the Arts (Philly). Steve has been on staff at the National Guitar Workshop for the past 4 years. In addition, he also cunducts his own monthly workshop/clinics in Central New Jersey, the "Tri State Guitar Intensives," which focus on various areas of guitar and music education. Currently, Steve has recently released "If And When," his debut instrumental CD, which is available at CD Baby, I Tunes, and Amazon.
